Some Model types have adjustable “Eyebrows” on the entrance and exit of the oven, which are fastened to the End Plugs of the oven (shown below). The Eyebrows are designed to limit the heat lost from the oven chamber during operation. The eyebrows have multiple height settings and should be placed at their lowest possible setting while providing enough clearance above the oven chain to allow the tallest Papa John’s product to enter/exit the baking chamber uninterrupted.

It is crucial to ensure that the eyebrows are positioned correctly. Eyebrows that are positioned too low can damage the products as they enter and exit the bake chamber. Eyebrows that are placed too high can cause the oven to vent excessive amounts of heat, which can cause inconsistent bake results, excess temperatures in the production area, increased fuel consumption by the oven, and increased electrical consumption by the HVAC and refrigeration equipment in the restaurant.

Note: Adjust the Eyebrows when the oven is off and cool. You must adjust the oven eyebrows once installed or if Papa John confirms any new adjustments.
